The Homeowner Rehabilitation Program assists low-income homeowners with repairs to their home. These improvements can
address any Health and Safety Issues, Energy Conservation Measures, or Handicap Accessibility Needs.
Requirements:
- Applicants must own the home and the property on which it is located. Property with existing mortgages are eligible.
- Homeowners must carry and provide proof of homeowners insurance (flood insurance, if applicable) to adequately cover all
existing mortgages on the property, including the deferred loan, for the duration of the loan. At completion of construction,
homeowner will be required to list RNDC as an additional loss payee on the policy.
- The deferred loan is secured by an interest free rehabilitation agreement between the applicant and RNDC and a Deed of Trust,
to the benefit of the applicable agency providing the funding.
- Where applicable the grant is secured by an interest free rehabilitation agreement that is forgiven over a 3 to 5 year period.
- Applicants acknowledge the approval of funds to complete rehabilitation is contingent upon the availability of funds in their
region and their current status on the waiting list.

Community Development Block Grants (CDBG): 3-year grants.
Nevada Housing Division HOME Funds: Deferred loans.
Western Nevada HOME Consortium: Deferred loans.
Low Income Housing Trust Funds (LIHTF): Deferred loans.
RNDC has been awarded an allocation of Low Income Housing Trust Funds (LIHTF) for Down Payment Assistance and Homeowner
Rehabilitation in Rural Clark County. These are deferred loan funds that do not accrue interest and do not require any monthly
payments. Please note that income limits are slightly lower and are as follows:
